all things come to an end

At first I thought that it will be long-boring term, but time was faster than I thought, and still we have some unfinished stuff like final exam it wasn’t boring, it was exiting and interesting, hope next SUII my lectures are going to be like  one.

CyberSpace Xp

I understand cyberspace like a place created by some designers and programmers which is created for some purposes for example, at last lesson on friday i’ve heard about www.secondlife.com, that was interesting, so I downloaded client, then created account. Place where my second I appeared was an island were all newbies are trained to walk, use some objects and so on. Then I found another option which is helps to recreate a person, you can change everything from eyes to size of your legs. That is one thing, another thing is games where you cant change everything, you can buy some stuff if you have some “game cash” which you can get after some work or mission, for example lets take online RPG World of Warcraft, it differs from SecondLife, just because here you need to gain xp for new levels which can give you certain abilities or to wear weapons. So in my opinion cyberspace is the world created for us, where we, using our imagination can do things that we’ve never done before.

Is Wikipedia a reliable resource?

I can say that it is 50/50% just because sometimes inoformation is trustful and really useful, but in some cases it cant be proven, for example in some articles they put “The content may change dramatically as the film’s release approaches and more information becomes available.” or other thing it may be differ from topic. Also they have some option like edit article or correct it, so this also making wikipedia helpless, why? Just because someone can re-edit it, and information wont be right. But on the other hand some people can add really useful information, which other will use to support their work or something. I cant say that it not reliable nor I cant say that it’s realiable.

SSDD

Strange things happen nowadays. Maybe everything have to be like that, but why? Why our friends make everything go like that, everyone has it’s own way, but they correcting us, changing the way of thoughts, choosing “best” for us, taking control? I dont know but I faced this problem.Why people want to see us how they want to? I just want to be like I used to be.I rather be blind, I dont want to see things like that. I guess, they just want to help, huh that’s kind a strange help. No thanks!!! Just help yourself, and where we’re going to get? I dont know, somewhere far. And that’s not friendship, it’s something else, maybe I just need to find real and true friends? it’s hard, really, I think we all just wasting our time.

Lost then KyleXY and now Heroes

Here we go, firstly I am sure that you’ll ask what is this title about? I know that one of our national channel showed some series of LOST, nut all ended, because we dont have new season, and I really dont know when it will come up, but I found some russian site, where new season can be downloaded, and it’s already translated, that’s nice. Now I found new stuff so called Heroes. It’s something awesome!!!You have to see that, if you want I can give 1st season. For more information visit NBC

Last summer was interesting and funny. No classes, lectures, books :p Yeah that was really cool time. Me and my friend went to USA, here is a photo which was taken in “Hooters” located somewhere in downtown of St.Louis/MO.They have really nice girls there!!!

Today our group have assignment, which is connected with the NYT newspaper online version. We have to answer some questions like:

• Tools: What specific tools does the site use to promote community? Self-Description: How does this site present itself to the world? You may find in a site’s self-description (for example, in an “About” page) some evidence about the kind of community they hope to promote.
• Networking: Follow outgoing links from the site and see what kind of community that site is developing using those links. What does this suggest to you?
• Participation: What can you discover about who actually uses the site, how they use it, and why? What are the rules of participation? Is there a hierarchy in the community? If so, how much control do those at the top of the hierarchy seem to have over those at the bottom. Is the site delivering information to an audience? Or is it promoting conversation? How participatory is this journalism site?

So my group decided to divide them between us, I ‘ve following question :

Some links are related to that site, but it has different things there, for example if will click on technology, we’ll get to the page were people are talking about some geeky stuff, like laptops and new inventions in that sphere. Now it became easier to find things that you are really in. New York Times gives it’s users such an opportunity, you can click on your favourite link and get to the community where people will understand you and so on. NewYorkTimes has lots of different interesting links on main page, but if you cant find it you also can use online search there.
